An integral part of Elizabeth Park Schools

Elizabeth Park CHI is located on the campus of the Elizabeth Park Primary School and provides quality programmes for students who meet the DECS criteria for a high sustained level of support.

The school campus offers strong and insightful leadership, effective behaviour management, dynamic learning programs and dedicated, caring staff.  We embrace the values of care, respect and responsibility.

Elizabeth Park Centre for Hearing Impaired offers access to:

Staff with training, skills and knowledge in the education of students
who are deaf or hearing impaired.

A dedicated learning centre comprised of classrooms, speech room, kitchen/activity area, storage and office.

Classrooms that comply with DECS acoustic standards and incorporate "Sound Field Systems".

Support programs within mainstream classes.

Individualised speech and listening programs.

Accelerated Literacy programs.

Auslan bilingual support if required.

ETA (English Through Auslan) programs if required.

Deaf Studies programs incorporating aspects of Deaf history, language (Auslan), culture and identity.

Support for students in the management of assistive listening devices such as cochlear implants, hearing aids, FM systems etc.
